How was your golden week?
I hope you had a good time :-D
Aside from studying, I had a great time with my friends.
The weather was extremely good,
so I went to many picnics and BBQs in Osaka.
I had fun with old friends and made lots of new ones too.

In England, if the weather is this good, we also go to BBQs.
However, we usually have them in our gardens.
Usually, the host provides all the food, and the guests bring
a bottle of wine or cans of beer as a gesture of good will.

In terms of food, we usually eat burgers, hotdogs and if you're lucky, steak.
People also like to cook things such as jacket potatoes, corn on the cob and mushrooms.
For dessert some people like to wrap bananas in tinfoil and put them on the grill.
The banana becomes very soft, and with chocolate sauce they are delicious!

As previously mentioned, people like to bring beer and wine to drink.
However, a particularly British summertime drink is Pimms.
We usually add Pimms to a punch-like mixture of fruit and vegetables
such as cucumbers, berries and apples.
We put the mixture into a very large bowl,
and people put the mixture into a cup using a large ladle.
After you drink the mixture we like to eat the fruit and vegetables!
