Hi Everyone.
It's October, so that means Halloween is coming soon!
Recently, it seems that Halloween is very popular in Japan.
For example, if you go to Loft, you can see many Halloween goods being sold.
Halloween is very popular in the US
but in fact it actually originated in the UK a long, long time ago.
On Halloween, groups of children often go trick or treating
around their neighborhood to get sweets.
Of course, they wear (scary) costumes too!

Halloween is also popular with students and other young people.
There are often parties on or around Halloween.
Often, at these events there are awards for "best costume".
One year, when I was at university, I went as a panda,
but unfortunately, I didn't win :(
This tradition has spread to Japan
because I have also been to Halloween parties here.
Two years ago I went as a cow.
What shall I wear this year?!
