I will go back to England next week to visit my friends and family.

My hometown is called Colchester.

It is in a rural area of England called Essex, about one hour from London.

Colchester is the oldest recorded town in the UK.

It is a Roman town and has many old ruins from around 2000 years ago.

Colchester has a castle too, which is a Norman castle built on the site of a Roman one.

This castle is about 1000 years old and situated in the town centre.

Also, Colchester is famous for being an "army town", because there is a garrison in the town.

There has been a garrison in Colchester since Roman times.

So, you can see many soldiers around the town.

I will go back on Tuesday.

昨晩、投稿したブログで書いた「Buffalo Chicken Wings」について

ジェリーが写真を送ってきてくれたのでメール諸共、アップロードします。

Here are* some pictures from Buffalo.

The first picture is of Buffalo Chicken Wings.

The second picture is of Niagara Square

- it is a big, open square in the center of downtown Buffalo

  where they have live music* every summer.

Hi Everyone!

Obon is coming up* soon,

and I’ll be going back to Buffalo, NY USA (my hometown).

I haven’t been back home* for about 2 years,

so I’m looking forward to seeing my family and friends!

I will be flying* from Osaka to Tokyo,

Then* Tokyo to New York City and finally from New York City to Buffalo!

It’s a very long flight, and it takes about 14 – 15 hours from Tokyo to New York City.

I can’t sleep on airplanes, so I will probably be a little tired when I get home.

We will also spend some time in Toronto, Canada

because it is only about an hour and a half drive from my hometown.

We will go shopping and sightseeing there, too.

I am looking forward to going out with my friends to all of the old bars, restaurants and clubs

that we used to go to.

My hometown is famous for* Buffalo Chicken Wings,

so I am looking forward to eating those too!
