I was recently reminded about my trip to Cambodia last spring. It was an amazing experience.

We stayed in Siem Reap for 3 nights and did the usual tour of the temples...
Angkor Wat, Bayon(my favourite - the one with over a hundred faces carved into the stone), the `Indiana Jones one` where the temple kind of looks
as if it is growing out of a jungle...and many more.

We hired a guy to drive us around,
as it was really really cheap, and definitely worth it,
as he was really friendly and helpful in giving us a guide of all the places and food,
as well as having constant air conditioning! ;-P

One day we went to a place called the Floating Village.
I hadn't heard of it before going, so it was a nice surprise,
and I definitely recommend it as a `must-see` place if you visit Cambodia.

It's basically a village or community of people who live out on a massive
river (called the Tonle Sap I think)... you have to travel out to it by boat and can't
see land in any direction. They just live there on their boats... with no electricity.

Another `must do` is to get a foot massage - especially if you get one after a day of
walking around all the temples in the scorching heat. The masseurs give a really good
massage - and of course it's really cheap.

Food wise, try one of the Amok dishes, where they serve meat or fish curries inside a
coconut, steamed with banana leaves.
